Paul Otto Brunstad is Professor of Education at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences with emphasis on educational leadership and educational philosophy. He also holds a position as professor II at NLA University College in Bergen. He has previously been professor at VID Specialized University in Bergen/ Oslo, and instructor to the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy and to the Royal Norwegian Air Force Academy.
Anthony has worked for more than thirty years within the National Health Service in the United Kingdom, and in the academic field at Staffordshire University where he is a Visiting Professor. He is registered as both a Clinical Psychologist and a Health Psychologist and uses his applied psychology skills in these settings.
His consultancy and individual input in the general field of Occupational Health Psychology spans health, education, and commercial sectors where he focuses on performance and wellbeing at work. Over the past five years he has facilitated retreats in the Netherlands and Italy for educators and those in health care. Such interventions are seen through a wide contextual lens, encompassing the personal and the spiritual.
Professor Emeritus Barbara Parfitt CBE PhD qualified as a nurse midwife in the 1960’s. Her PhD investigated international primary health care development and she completed development projects in the Middle East, South Africa and Central Asia. She was awarded a CBE for her work in international health and nursing. In 2010 she set up a Nursing and Midwifery college in Bangladesh targeting young disadvantaged women from the rural areas. She is now retired and currently working voluntarily with a disadvantaged community in Pakistan.
